Wahanda (rebranded as Treatwell in 2016), is a Spa & Wellness resource guide, booking engine and online community based in London, England. It is the largest hair and beauty bookings website in Europe, with close to 500 employees and more than 20,000 local partners. Its resource guide provides expert tips and advice on treatments, trends and therapies.
An early investor, GEI provided financing and strategic advice and took an active role in the launch of Wahanda. The beauty platform became the most comprehensive online Spa & Wellness guide in the world, with over 100,000 spa, salon and health centre listings, growing more than tenfold in its first four years. Wahanda was sold in 2015 for over £100M, with GEI realizing a 15X on its original investment.
